I was screaming with pain in ICU after an upper left lung lobectomy, and a PA for the surgeon said "Oh, if the morphone isn't helping, I'll put you on ibuprofen." And they called a cardiologist for my post-op Afib who put me on 10 mg Eliquis. They sent me home with a discharge order of 2800 ibuprofen and 10 mg Eliquis daily. Luckily, I got in better hands a few months later, but my blood pressure is permanently messed up due to this.
